That’s the training days are slowly moving towards us. On the 19th & 26th of May we have Adoption Training. It feels like it has been a year to wait and if I check back on this Blog it probably has been.

The only problem is that Dazza has applied for a job that could take him to Germany for training for 6-8 weeks. I hope that he gets the job but hope more so that he doesn’t leave until after the Adoption training otherwise we may be left for another year! (another thought is to take someone else, how will they know?)

On a better note: a friend of mine from an old, old job has kept in contact as she could only ever adopt as carrying babies was out of the question due to health issues, has been approved back in November 2007 (after starting her journey January 2005) and by March 2008 had been picked by a birth mother (in my region not her own) to take care of her 12 week old daughter. Linda and her hubby are now the proud parents of Olivia Grace (Grace was her given name by her birth mother).

So as I was adding these pictures I went back and found the blog where we had changed our minds from Inter-Country Adoption to Infant Adoption and it was in July 2007, that’s 10 months to training, almost 11 months! Along the way to short circuit the allocation of a social worker for our assessment we were going to do Permanent Care but that fell by the wayside. So back to just waiting but at least its getting a little closer and I will have more to be able to add soon.
